About this class...

All important information for this class can be found on the class web page. This includes the

daily “table of contents” log, assignments, assignment calendar, all PowerPoints, handouts, links to web sites and project information.

 

If you are absent, you must check the unit webpage for the class work that you missed. You can download handouts from the site or pick up handouts from the “Absent Handout” file in the room. Please get missed lecture notes from a friend and/or view the PowerPoints and do the lecture guide.

Course Information:
  • Google Classroom: Please enroll in the US History Google Classroom for this course using the code: 3ljy49b. Class and homework assignments are often completed and submitted through Classroom.

  • Tests and Quizzes

  • A 3x5 notecard (one side, handwritten) will be available on unit tests. Tests will occur at the end of each unit and be announced in advance.

  • There will be open note quizzes, called HAMRs throughout each unit. There are no HAMR make ups if missed. The score on the unit test will apply to the HAMR missed for that unit (unless more than one HAMR is missed in a unit).

  • You are responsible for BEING READY to take any test missed for an excused absence the day you return.  Tests missed for an excused absence should be taken on the first Access day following the student’s return OR during office hours. All quizzes and test dates are announced ahead of time and are on the calendar.

  • Test corrections will be available during Access period or office hours after all students have taken the test.
